Honey Walnut Shrimp

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Toast the walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Mix the mayonnaise, honey, and sweetened condensed milk in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine the shrimp with the beaten egg. Then, coat each shrimp with cornstarch.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or wok over medium-high heat. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the fried shrimp with the mayonnaise mixture and toasted walnuts. Toss to coat.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve immediately.
